Brenda Waite

Brenda is a movement practitioner and teacher with over 25 year’s experience in a range of creative and somatic movement methods.  She came to Pilates many years ago as a means of injury prevention and has been practicing it enthusiastically ever since, qualifying as an instructor in 2018.

She has since completed a level 3 Diploma in Exercise for Older Adults and Bone Safe programming for Osteoporosis and Arthritis.  Recent CPD includes Pilates Programming for Female Pelvic Health conditions.

Brenda draws on her movement experience to inform and enrich her training offering a well rounded varied and enjoyable pilates programme for all ages and abilities.  Her attentive and empathetic teaching style ensures that everyone in the class feels comfortable yet able to progress through the programme. Exercises are modified to suit individual needs including any pre- existing injuries.

Brenda enjoys ongoing studies that broaden her Pilates teaching practise, currently Functional Anatomy and Structural Assessment, The Biomechanics Method.

Classes

Modern Pilates

Pilates classes focus on precise movements that originate from the core of your body. Working from the deepest layers of muscles, you will learn to stabilise and support your spine and pelvis, which are the foundation for achieving a strong flexible body & ideal postural alignment.

This Pilates series will focus on finding length through your muscles and space in your joints combined with building strength and tone. Promoting bone health and an ease of movement in the body.
